My name is Laura June. I am a writer. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I lived there until I moved to New York City in 2006, where I have been based ever since.

I was previously a founding editor of The Verge, and a staff writer at The Cut. I am currently a contributing writer at The Outline.

Next summer, I will publish my first book, a memoir. It's called Now My Heart is Full and will be published by Penguin.

Here is some of my previous work:

The Parent Rap, a column about motherhood I wrote for The Awl is here.

"The Shape Of Emily's Coffin," The Hairpin

An archive of my articles for New York Magazine is here.

An op-ed about babies I wrote for the Washington Post is here.

An article I wrote about YouTube videos for The Outline is here.
